Programme Outline
Good healthcare depends on trust between those who give care and those who receive it. Trust runs both ways. Patients have the right to be informed, respected and kept safe. Healthcare professionals have the right to work without abuse or harassment. Both share responsibility for how that relationship plays out, increasingly in public and online. Drawing on the speaker’s experience as an ICU nurse clinician and now as a legal trainee, this webinar sets out what each side can expect of the other. It looks at what happens when expectations break down, and how social media is changing the rules. Through real-world scenarios and live polls, nurses, allied health professionals and members of the public will each see the relationship from the other side.
