Programme Outline
This webinar examines the linkages between climate change and infectious diseases through a planetary health lens, with a particular focus on climate-sensitive diseases such as dengue fever. Participants will explore how environmental and climatic changes influence disease transmission and public health risks. The session is structured around key planetary health concepts, including mitigation, adaptation, resilience, and sustainability, and considers their relevance to infectious disease prevention and healthcare practice. Emphasis is placed on the role of healthcare and nursing in strengthening preparedness, response, and sustainable practices in the context of a changing climate.
