Programme Outline

Ramadan fasting presents unique challenges for people living with diabetes. To minimize the risk of complications, careful assessment, medication adjustment, and close monitoring are required. This session explores the knowledge and practical skills needed to support diabetic patients during Ramadan.

Through evidence-based guidance, medication management strategies, and case-based discussions, participants will learn to assess patients’ suitability for fasting and promote safe diabetes management while respecting their cultural and religious beliefs and practices.
