Course Description: The Clinical Instructor (CI) Course equips Registered Nurses (RNs) with the essential knowledge and skills for clinical teaching, supervision, and student assessment. Participants will explore the roles of clinical instructors, apply evidence-based supervision principles, and tailor teaching strategies to diverse learning styles. Key topics include reflective practice, assessment and evaluation of learner performance, constructive feedback, and developing clinical learning plans. The course also covers best practices for creating effective learning environments and addressing common student learning challenges. Upon completion, participants will be prepared to conduct clinical supervision, foster critical thinking, and ensure learners meet expected competencies in clinical education.
