Course Description: One of the core skills required for a nurse is to perform venepuncture and peripheral intravenous cannulation to patients under his/her care. The course equips participants with the underlying principles and provides the opportunity for practice to gain competence in performing these clinical procedures in a clinical setting. As such, nurses working in the clinical areas have to possess the relevant clinical knowledge, competencies and attitudes pertaining to VPIC. Eligible for 4 CPE points upon successful completion of the course.
