Course Description: The PD course is a comprehensive 2-day training program designed to equip RNs and ENs with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively manage patients undergoing PD. Participants will learn about the principles of PD, anatomy and physiology of the peritoneal membrane, types of PD, proper techniques for PD catheter care, and the use of dialysis solutions and equipment. The course also covers patient assessment, patient and family education, infection control practices and complication management. After the course, participants will go through 20 hours of On-The-Job practice to achieve at least 5 clinical logs to ensure all procedures are carried out safely and independently.
