Course Description: The course aims to equip Registered Nurses with knowledge on mechanisms, principles, modes and clinical indications for NIV therapy. Participants will learn to provide an overview of NIV mechanisms, principles of operation and troubleshooting of common NIV alarms, demonstrate correct assembling of NIV unit, mask selection, sizing, fitting and set-up of NIV for tracheostomy patients, understand and perform troubleshooting of common NIV alarms and develop a care plan for a patient on NIV therapy. Eligible for 4 CPE points upon successful completion of the course.
