Course Description: The counterpulsation therapy workshop introduces the IABP therapy concept with a strong focus in cardiac cycle, the IABP equipment, nursing role and responsibilities when caring for a patient undergoing the therapy. Practical session includes IABP timing evaluation and adjustments strategies (semi-auto mode). The workshop concludes with timing exercises and case studies and identifying complications and troubleshooting.
