Course Description: The programme enables nurses in clinical areas to develop competencies to perform assessment, provide care and manage onset of associated syndromes of geriatric patients. The workshop is learner-centred engaging the participants actively in discussions, case studies, role play and to facilitate and integrate learning in a meaningful way. Workshop topics are focused on physiology of aging, nursing the confused elderly (dementia and delirium), mobility and nutrition care for an elderly person.
