Course Description: The course will explore the core legal and ethical issues in decision-making in healthcare practice. The topics that will be covered include consent, mental capacity, treatment refusal, end of life, role of family in decision-making, limits of parental authority in medical decision-making, lasting powers of attorney, advance directives, advance care planning, and best interests' decision-making. Eligible for 12 CPE points upon successful completion of the course. Course fees indicated is after SSG funding.
