Course Description: The workshop covers basic ventilator modes and settings commonly used for patients in the intensive care units. Blood gas analysis with simple ventilator adjustments will be discussed through case studies. The workshop also includes relevant topics such as clinical assessment and monitoring of patients supported on ventilator, capnography, sedation and delirium assessment and weaning from mechanical ventilation.
